Bye Lima, to Cusco and Machu
Like conquistadors of centuries past, we march(technically we did march when queueing) to Cusco.
Lima seriously needs an expanded Airport, this is the smallest queue we were in.
Ca conquistadori din secole apuse, marsaluim(tehnic am marsaluit in coada la aeroport) spre Cusco.
Lima are nevoie de un aeroport mai mare.
After a day of pisco sours, market food (Cristina will deal with that) and walking, Lima started growing on us, just on time for our departure to Cusco.
Dupa o zi de pisco sour, mancare locala si plimbare, Lima a inceput sa ni se bage sub piele. Fix la timp pt plecarea spre Cusco.
Lima si mancare
Lima, mancare, Lima, mancare. Ganditi-va la porumb, cartofi, porc, sorici, cereale, vita,chorizo, peste, fructe de mare si alte chestii bune combinate intre ele…fara sa vorbim de fructe exotice.
Am mancat o super supa de peste ( Chilcano), ceviche clasic din fructe de mare crude,Tacacho con cecina and chorizo (banane plantin cu jumari cu sorici si grasime de porc + porc si chorizo). Dupa, branza si fructe din jungla (aguaymanto, granadillas, cocona, limon dulce, tuna,pacae si preferatul meu CACAO crud! care n-are deloc gustul de ciocolata). Azi am incercat si suc de lucuma, nu-i rau nici asta.
Pe scurt, se mananca tare bine in Peru, pe gustul romanesc aproape. Si se bea la fel de bine.

Grand indeed
Dupa o seara de facut broaste si plimbat prin paduri, am ajuns in sfarsit la Grand Canyon.
After an evening bouncing stones off a lake and walking through the forest, we were finally at Grand Canyon.
Ne-am petrecut ziua explorand marginea canionului, aruncandu-ne privirea in hau si ramanand ganditori si contemplativi in fata imensitatii. Pentru a adauga spectacolului, pe marginea cealalata ploua cu determinare.
We spent the day exploring the rim, diving with our eyes and feeling contemplative and small in front of the vastness of it. To add to the show, rain was pouring on the other rim.
Apusul a decis sa fie un act separat.
Sunset decided it is a separate act.
A doua zi, mai mult canion, mai multa margine si un nou turn vechi.
The next day, more canyon, more rim and a new old tower.
